Fundraising provides opportunities for supporting important programs and causes.

Fundraising events support UUCV through offerings of goods, services, and items of value that reflect our community’s values and interests.

Our annual November Auction raises over $10,000 each year. A portion of the funds raised is donated to a chosen nonprofit cause. This is a great big party with lots of items offered in both a silent and oral auction format.

Our Spring Plant Sale offers Oregon Tilth Certified Organic vegetables and glorious annual and perennial assortments. June brings the fun of Dining for Dollars, when congregants bid silently on casual dining opportunities in people's home, hikes, picnics, wine & cheese tastings, and ice cream socials; and our Annual Yard Sale in late August is sure to please any bargain hunter!

Monthly Soup Sundays are held after the second service. Proceeds often help particular church projects or timely needs in the wider world.

Stewardship provides opportunities for deepening generosity.

Each Sunday, all non-designated donations in the plate are shared with a designated charity. These are selected by our Change for the World Project team and reflect our values as they are being lived in the world. Designated charities change each quarter.

Operating funds for UUCV are donated by many who support our community through our Annual Pledge Drive. Members give between $3 to $953 a month to ensure that our ministries thrive, each as he/she can. Many use the Fair Share Giving Guide  to determine a “fair share.” Click on the Guide title to download it and then double-click on the icon or downloaded file to open it.

The UUCV Endowment Fund provides a lasting financial legacy for UUCV through bequests and donations of cash and stock.

Our Endowment Fund provides financing for future church projects much as an apple seed planted now will provide fruit for many generations.

UUCV members elect five Trustees who invest the donations made to the fund into a diversified portfolio. Over the years, these investments accumulate interest and dividend earnings that "grow" to provide increasing support for church projects.

Every year a portion of the earnings from these investments are available to the church through grants from the Endowment Fund.

Your gift to the UUCV Endowment Fund provides an income or estate tax benefit. Certain gifts will provide an immediate tax benefit, while others will reduce a taxable estate. Read more here...
