Transcendentalism is a religious, philosophical and literary movement that arose in the 19th century. We will explore its roots in Unitarian Universalism through the works of Emerson, Thoreau, Fuller, Whitman and others. “Unplug the Christmas Machine” Workshop Based on the book of the same title, this workshop will help you enjoy a simpler, more satisfying holiday season. Through a series of reflective exercises, we will consider such topics as: gift - giving, family roles and responsibilities, extended family gatherings, what children want/need at the holidays, memories, and goal setting for future holidays. Join us for a time of reflecting, sharing, and preparing for a relaxed and enjoyable holiday season.
