To serve a shift, contact Marilynn Hall.

CAR WASH FUNDRAISER Next Saturday, September 11 the UUCV YRUU group will be putting on a car wash fundraiser to raise money. The funds will be used to open up greater opportunities for activities and adventures that will help our group learn, grow, and explore together. We will also be making every effort possible to reduce the environmental impact of our car wash by using eco-friendly cleaning products, conserving and recycling water, and managing runoff to prevent pollution of our local resources. The event will be held during the homecoming potluck. Bring your vehicle by at any time after 5:00. We hope to see you there!

HOMECOMING CELEBRATION AND POTLUCK Saturday, September 11, 5:30 to 9:30 This is our traditional annual social event when we welcome the beginning of the new church year in casual style. With most people back from vacation, we will greet old friends and welcome those who are new into our warm community. Lots of fun is planned including an apple pie contest, badminton, horseshoes, zucchini carving, games for kids, music and other entertainments! Please bring a family-size potluck dish and your own eco-friendly dishes & utensils in a bag to take home afterwards. Questions? Want to help? Small but fun and important tasks are still available for eager participants! See Charlie Mitchell or Kitty Hibbs. For info about the apple pie contest, contact Tracy Reilly Kelly.

QUALITY PIE MAKERS COME ONE, COME ALL! The tradition of the Apple Pie Contest during our Homecoming Saturday Potluck is one of the most beloved at our church. Please enter our contest! Who will reign supreme at UUCV? See what our judges, crackerjack past winner Vickie Lindquist, top notch home pastry chef Christina Dodds, our own President Georgia Pinkel, and Kitchen wizard Robbin Goss think. Not a pie maker? Challenge yourself - maybe this time will be the one! Join the fun after dinner at the Homecomig Potluck.

LET'S MAKE OUR POTLUCK DINNERS SAFE FOR EVERYONE! We sometimes forget that some of us have food allergies or adhere to special diets. If you attend the Homecoming Celebration and Potluck on September 11th, please bring with your potluck contribution a list of the ingredients on a 3x5 card or folded paper. We don't need the recipe, just list what's inside! If it's from a store, the ingredients are on the container!

A COURSE IN MIRACLES will be offered on Sunday mornings beginning September 12th, in RE Room #5, from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. Suggested Donation, $5.00 per quarter.
