SOCIAL ACTION EVENTS

Events:

• Sunday, August 8, ~11:45. Welcoming Committee Meeting at Woodfire Restaurant, 4400 E. 4th Plain Blvd., Vancouver. Contact Lyle Smith or Carol Alice.
• Sunday, August 29, after service.  Peace and Justice team meeting in the library to plan September events.  Volunteers needed.
• Saturday, September 11.  Peace & Justice team will have a table for the Vancouver Peace and Justice Fair at Ester Short Park.  Contact Gen Kortes.
• Sunday, September 12, 4:00 p.m.  UUCVan hosts Mohandas Karamchaud Ghandi portrayed by Bernie Meyer.  See flyer below for more information.

On-Going Activities:

• Share House:  Donations of food and usable clothing for the barrel and basket in the church foyer.
• Adopt-a-Highway: Volunteers are always needed for occasional litter pick-up along "our" section of Highway 14.  Contact Ross Montgomery.
