Religious Education for Children and Youth Our Vision…We offer our children a safe, caring community of intergenerational sharing, respect, and joy. We support them in becoming Unitarian Universalists…
During the school year there are two worship services on Sunday, at 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. At both services we offer a Preschool class, a class for Kindergarten through 2nd grade, and one for 3rd through 5th graders. At the 11:15 service we offer three additional classes - one for 6th and 7th graders, one for 8th and 9th graders, and one for 10th through 12th graders. Teens in grades 9-12 belong to our Young Religious Unitarian Universalists (YRUU) group and have their own curricula. Their group meets outside of class time for social action as well as social interaction. Multigenerational worship is offered two or three times a year as well as on Community Sunday which is designed especially for children’s worship. During the summer, a multi-age program is
offered at the single 10:00 a.m. service. Curriculum is chosen from both Unitarian Universalist Association offerings and those developed by individual UU congregations around the country. Leadership: Children and youth in the RE program lead two services a year: a December holiday pageant and the annual Youth Service. Visitors: Children and youth are always welcome to visit our religious education classes. More information... Questions? E-mail or call the RE Office, 360-696-2031. |
